MCA Participates in AMRH Community of Practice Workshop in Nairobi

The Medicines Control Agency (MCA) is pleased to share that it has participated in the 3-day African Medicines Regulatory Harmonization (AMRH) Programme, alongside other global partners, in Nairobi, Kenya, for a Community of Practice (CoP) workshop for AMRH Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) focal points.

The workshop aims to support regulatory agencies in effectively using AMRH core indicators to track progress in medical product regulation, regulatory harmonization, and capacity building across Africa.
The CoP, comprising Focal Points from National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) and Regional Economic Communities (RECs), plays a pivotal role in implementing the Continental M&E Framework.

This framework enables evidence-based planning, strengthens regulatory systems, and accelerates the operationalization of the African Medicines Agency (AMA).

MCA reaffirms its commitment to leveraging on such collaborative platforms to strengthen its regulatory systems and ensure the effective delivery of its mandate to protect public health.
