Medicine Control Agency Wins NQA

The Medicines Control Agency (MCA) were awarded as the winner of the Diamond Category of the National Quality Awards (NQA level 4) at an award ceremony held on Friday 14th December 2019 at the Senegambia Beach Hotel in recognition of the Agency’s excellent ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).

The National Quality Award is organized by The Gambia Standards Bureau in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment aiming to promote and enhance the culture of quality in institutions within the public and private sectors.

In Attendance was The Gambia’s Finance Minister on behalf of the Minister of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment. Markieu Janneh Kaira, Executive Director and Fatoumata Jah Sowe, Deputy Executive Director received the award on behalf of the Agency which was handed by the Finance Minister .

MCA being the National Winners at the Excellence Category meant that the Agency automatically qualified to compete at the ECOWAS level with winners in this category from other countries in the region.
